Jim Hall

One of my all time favourite albums is Jim Hall's album Concierto (1975). Click here to hear the original track

It features Chet Baker, Steve Gadd, Ron Carter, Paul Desmond and Roland Hanna on keys, not a bad band! (By the way another of my favourite ever concerts features Steve Gadd on drums, Eric Clapton live at Hyde Park....maybe that is more than a coincidence!)

In this group of lessons I am going to look at Two's Blues. This is a composition of Jim's that works well in a duo with a bass player, in a bigger combo format, or is just great to play along with the record.

Here is what it looks like on guitar: Two’s Blues

Eight part Lesson taking you through Two’s Blues

Jim’s improvisation………..

Jim’s solo on this insane (also I think Chet’s solo is incredible).
